HushCam Privacy Policy

The short version

HushCam does not collect anything about you. No analytics, no tracking, no accounts, no third-party SDKs beyond LiveKit. Your audio and video travel end-to-end encrypted directly between the two phones you pair. No one can see them, not the developer, not our hosting providers, not anyone.

What the app does

HushCam pairs two phones over the internet so one acts as a transmitter (near your child) and the other as a receiver (near you). Audio is always streamed; video is optional and runs only in the modes that use it. All detection (voice activation, motion) runs on the device. Nothing is sent anywhere for analysis.

What we collect

Nothing. HushCam does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information. There is no account to create and no telemetry sent to any server we run.

What the app uses your device for

• Microphone: captures audio on the transmitter and sends it, encrypted, to your receiver. Not stored. Not recorded.
• Camera: captures video on the transmitter (optional) and scans a QR code on the receiver during pairing. Not stored. Not recorded.
• Network: sends encrypted audio and video between your two devices via LiveKit, a real-time media service. LiveKit does not decrypt your media; WebRTC's DTLS-SRTP encryption protects the stream end-to-end, including when a TURN relay is used.
• Battery, volume, and brightness: read locally by the pre-flight checklist to help you configure the transmitter. Not transmitted.

Third-party services

• LiveKit Cloud: routes encrypted audio and video between your paired devices. LiveKit does not store or inspect your media. See livekit.io/privacy.
• Cloudflare: serves the small token-exchange worker that issues short-lived room tokens. No personal data is sent; tokens are tied to a random pairing key, not a user identity.

No analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDKs are present in the app.

Children

HushCam is designed for adults (parents, caregivers) to monitor children, pets, or rooms. The app itself is not intended for use by children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because we do not collect information at all.

Your rights

Because we do not collect data, there is nothing to access, export, or delete on our side. You control everything on your device, and you can uninstall HushCam at any time to revoke its permissions.
